Wonderfully renovated, friendly professional staff and great location. ... We had excellent breakfasts each day at the Upper Union restaurant next door, as well as dinner for two nights. The food was excellent and vegetarian friendly. The service was friendly and prompt, and we met the fabulous chef Amori as well as the manager Derek. It is clear they share a passion for making guests happy, and they succeed.

Our ranger and tracker were exceptionally good … and we saw some magnificent sights-there were so many high spots and memories-but a herd of 7 rhinos, a brace of lions up a tree (!) and several leopards. Also being shown some spectacular bird life was amazing.

An exceptional hidden gem! The accommodation is absolutely beautiful having had a very recent contemporary yet sympathetic refurbishment to a historic series of converted town villas dating to the mid-19th Century. …Anyone not wanting to stay in one of the large international chain hotels and is looking for real quality should consider coming here.
